Slide Damper

Isolateiondamper Trans

We have a range of slide dampers within our range of equipment.

All versions feature a blade which has an aperture the same size and shape as the duct. In the open position there is absolutely 100% free area. In the closed position, any leakage will be virtually un-measurable. If required, we can provide active seals to give a bubble tight seal.

The simplest of these is intended for those applications where use will be infrequent. It is operated by releasing the clamping bolts, pushing the blade to the desired position and re-tightening the bolts. It must be mounted adjacent to a flexible joint. Large sizes may require the use of a block & tackle or a Tirfor to move the blade.

The second version is non-enclosed and a typical application would be on the inlet of a fan. It has a system of seals and can be power driven or operated manually by a screw mechanism.

The third version is totally enclosed for zero leakage to atmosphere. These are operated by a lead screw which can be either actuated or manually controlled. Please note all lead screw components are fully guarded.
